Why we do what we do

We are dedicated to creating a movement that acknowledges and responds to the Soul Injury that often occurs with trauma, as well as the weariness of the soul that sometimes occurs in caring for those who have been traumatized. Through our development of ceremonial workshops, resource materials, and facilitator training we are able to help traumatized people and their families re-own and re-home scattered pieces of themselves so wholeness can be restored. Our goal is to help traumatized people love, forgive, and trust themselves to navigate in the world again by disarming their heart while cultivating personal intimacy with fractured aspects of their own self. The Soul Injury program focuses on traumatized populations; the Soul Restoration program focuses on self-care for caregivers.

If you are interested in becoming a part of our movement, please consider making a tax-deductible donation so that we may continue to provide these resources and services that help traumatized people and their families.

Messages from our associates

Abi Katz

“I have partnered with Opus Peace in providing direct veteran care, as well as giving educational presentations on Soul Injury for hundreds of clinicians in Florida, California, and Ohio. It has been an enriching partnership that has fueled my passion for caring for veterans and their families.”

“I’m excited to be a volunteer with Opus Peace because it has proven to be the starting point of my own healing. They have assisted me in becoming a resilient guide for others on their paths toward healing. Through their presentations and books, they have exposed their soul to me. I thank you for your work, your service, and the privilege of meeting you.”

Kathryn Smith

“When I attended the Opus Peace retreat in January, 2014, I left the weekend having welcomed home the part of me I had exiled 30 years before. I learned how to have compassion for the exiled part of myself that I had disowned. I learned that my exiled self was the self who had the courage and heart to feel the pain of an entire family. Now, with my own journey back from PTSD, reclaiming broken pieces of shattered self, and re-homing that exiled little girl, I am claiming the destiny I was born to fulfill. I am carrying Opus Peace into my Yoga practice with Warriors at Ease. Warriors at Ease is a trauma sensitive yoga and meditation practice for military communities, supporting people with PTSD and Military Sexual Trauma.”
